Recently, some media asked the Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar about the death of a Chinese citizen hotel on May 1. The spokesman of the Consulate General answered the following questions:
A: Recently, two Chinese nationals were found dead in the InterContinental Bali Hotel. The Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar attached great importance to the case, and maintained close contact with the local police at the first time and continued to track the progress of the case. At the same time, the Consulate General informed the families of the deceased in a timely manner and provided necessary assistance for the families to go to Bali to deal with the aftermath. On May 5, Consul General Zhu Xinglong urgently met with the director of the Denpasar Police Department to understand the investigation process and exchange views on ensuring the personal safety of Chinese citizens traveling in Bali.
Denpasar police said Indonesia’s central and local governments attached great importance to the case and asked the police to speed up the case. The Denpasar Police Department has set up a special task force to investigate the case and will maintain close contact with the Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar. The Denpasar Municipal Government attaches great importance to the safety of Chinese tourists and will continue to take necessary measures to this end.
